Okay, Okay so I am posting this on her 10 mos old day but at least I am doing it. She is a crazy doll that Brinlee. She is walking, practically running, plays peek a boo, says all kinds of words. Let me see, she says, uh oh, dad-eee, nate, seth-y, thank you, ouch-eee, dog-eee, and a load of other words I will remember at 2am. She is going up and down the stairs. She has figured out how to open anything with a pop-up lid (like toothpaste, bum creams, etc. She bites, hits, scratches and pulls hair. She is crazy in love with her brothers and begs them with her eyes and hands to pick her up and take her to play with them. She climbs onto things, opens cupboards (broke a pan and a candle yesterday). She loves to be in public. She hates to sleep and will fight and fight (herself) to wake up even though she is so tired. Oh yeah, and she has her Dad-eee wrapped around her little finger. Oh my it is bad. (and sweet too) and I love her to pieces. Funny thing about her penguin. She fell in love with the beanie babies at a store we were in, she just kept hugging them all. I let her pick and although not my choice, she kept picking the penguin. We finally realized she loved it because of a penguin Christmas toy we have that sings songs that she played with a lot at Christmas time. If I am able, I will post a video of her trying to help me hang up clothes. We captured it after watching her do it before and Nate and I thought it was so hilarious.

Nate's Band Concert

Funny Noah

You know your too fat when your 7 year old (almost) continually makes comments about your weight. Tonight's comment "at least you have big muscles mom". I hate my arms. Here is the darling picture of our family but awful of me to prove I have big muscles right now!

New Tooth

This has had a painful journey, this little itty bitty darling tooth! She is 5 months old now. Brinlee is starting to go up on all fours and either pull herself to standing (if something is close enough and high enough) or launch forward on her face. It is like watching an acrobat. A tumbling princess. She is definitely mobile and can get what she is after. She is amazing!!!! She is wonderful!!! Now if she would just sleep. She is way too busy to sleep. She is always so excited, I think it is all of the entertainment here with these 3 brothers. Noah and Seth ran the jog a thon. Seth ran the whole time. He has been working hard during P.E. to improve his time on the mile. He started at 9 something and has worked his way down to I think 7:20.
All 3 boys have enjoyed being on our community swim team and are doing a mini-triathlon on Halloween.

I think the tooth fairy was so tired/half asleep because he put the money inside Noah's pillowcase. Now Noah is missing his two front teeth. Cutie!

Noah and Nate had Graduation. Nate from elementary school and Noah from kindergarten. We had lot's of fun in Utah with cousins. Here are some from Liberty Park. We spent the 4th of July in Utah and saw fireworks in Centerville, some at Aunt Kira's and Uncle Lee's. Here is Brinlee with her cousin Savannah.

Sorry my posts aren't in order. Just playing catch up! Brinlee was blessed on June 13th. Almost all of my extended family was there and some close friends too. It was so special. She wore the dress that I made in college. Grandpa held her while I got ready. Here is my Mom holding Savannah and Brinlee. Nanny Esther is 80 years old! Our Hike

We hiked a little trail on the Santa Rosa Plateau up the street from our house on Memorial Day. It was perfect weather and Brinlee slept quietly away in the snuggli the whole time. It was great. Noah packed himself a lunch, we all ate ours in the car or at home but he wanted to wait until we were actually on the hike to eat, it was cute, maybe he is still a kid (he doesn't think so). He is reading now by the way. It is like magic. He read a page long poem tonight that he got from school. It was incredible. I love that click when they just "get it". At the end of this trail is a little vernal pool with snakes, turtles and fish. We saw many snakes and some little fishies and tadpoles but no turtles. It was pretty fun!

Here she is, her un-puffy newborn self. I didn't realize how puffy she was. She looks more baby newborn-ish cute now. I love her! I need to mention that "the happiest baby on the block dvd is a lifesaver" Please get it if you have a baby or give it to a friend if they do. Miracle!!!!

Baby Brinlee

Yeah. Brinlee finally came. May 4, 2009. Started contracting Monday morning at 6:30. Didn't believe it so I went back to sleep. Finally I called Kira and Julianne until they started (contractions) getting closer. They started at 8 min apart but I was hesitating. I jumped up to get ready and get dressed and then they were 5 min apart. I hurried the boys in to the car and drove down to escondido, palomar hospital because calling someone to drive me would waste time. On the way down they were 3 min apart. Yikes! but I was NOT going to deliver anywhere else (including the highway). Checked myself in and waited with the boys for Scott and his parents to arrive. They didn't take very long. 2.5 hours later came Brinlee May. Finally! Here are a few first pics. Will post more later when I have the energy to dress her up and put bows in her hair! :)

Pinewood Derby

Nate and Seth worked so very hard on Seth's pinewood derby car. (Nate is too old now to participate). It was so special to see them work so hard together and I think the car turned out so fabulous. He won 3rd place out of 15 boys and got a nice trophy. He was so proud. Noah brought Nate's old car and won the sibling race with it.

Today we all sat outside in the sun, the boys painting and Scott studying with me helping him. Seth painted a birdhouse that he made at Lowe's for one of his scout requirements. It turned out so darling. Scott wanted some shade so he tried to open the patio umbrella and a nest fell down with some brand new little tiny birdies. We had a time putting the nest back up in there and placing the birds back in the nest. Here is a darling shot of one of the birds that Nate took with my camera. Hopefully the mama bird forgives us our folly.

Easter fun

Easter was a fun day. OK OK OK I will post a horrid picture of me pregnant. The puffy princess! Our Easter picture last year was lost with my camera at Sea World so I am glad we got one this year and it is a last family picture before our new addition! It was a beautiful day outside. Scott and Mike decided to wrestle for Scott (they will be learning wrestling techniques in the academy and Mike is really into wrestling). It was hilarious. Scott is really strong, he's been working out like mad. Mike is really good at wrestling techniques. Can you guess how it turned out? Scott outweighs Mike by 50 lbs but... Woo hoo hot body Scotty!!!

The Last Vacation (for awhile)

We took a quick little trip to SD for a last family vacation for awhile as Scott is going in to the academy and baby girl is coming too. We stayed at the Mission Bay Hilton, right on the bay, I have always wanted to stay there. Hotwire!!!!! They upgraded us to a bayview/poolside room. It was loads of fun. Scott brought the kayak and the bikes as we were steps from the bay and the sidewalk along the bay. The pool was great and we ate some yummy food. We went to the Cabrillo monument and the tidepools. We had a blast.

Poison Oak!

I didn't think anyone cared if I blogged but my Dad does. So I will catch up on 3 months. We haven't done much, not many pictures. Just anticipation of the baby coming and Scott starting the SD Police Academy. Here are a few things we have done....and I will post pictures about them.

Noah played flag football. He loved it. He was really cute.

Scott had a birthday, #35 and we had a family party at our house. I made the best ice cream cake, recipe from Cindy (Stacey and Heidi's Mom).

We had a fun day at Mulligans outdoor fun park in January. We got some passes for Christmas so spent a sunny day there riding go karts, bumper boats, arcade, laser tag. I of course watched from the sidelines. The last thing the boys went on was the teacups, big mistake! The big boys were laughing going faster and faster, Noah had a terrified (sickly) look on his face and Scott and I started screaming "stop, stop, Nathen stop" Nathen didn't hear or something and Noah barfed all over. It was awful. He also barfed in the car on the way home. I knew I hated those teacups!

Julianne and I made the crib set for the baby. I made coordinating basket boxes and curtains and made the quilt all by myself. I think they turned out darling! I just love going in the baby room like 10 x a day. It is my favorite room in the house!

Seth spent about 5 different days with a friend named Dawson, behind Dawsons house in a ravine, wild area hunting for frogs and catching tadpoles. It was all fun and games until Seth broke out with a horrible rash. The first couple of days I thought he was eaten alive by mosquitos. Then it spread and puffed out and massed together and so now it is all over his body and itching like mad. We have been to the doctor and been given different prescriptions but I will be the first to say, they don't really do much. It is the most evil plant ever!!!!!!!!!!

And... I also made some fabulous bows last night. Now I just have to get some alligator clips to attach to them so I can put them on headbands. The flowers will be made next (not huge ones, ok Julianne? gosh!)

Gingerbread house and Santa visit

We made a gingerbread house Monday night and the next morning Noah said "that was the best family home evening ever". Don't you love that? We had Christmas music and a fire going. It was great. I do have to say though that I prefer the Costco kit to Sam's. We tried Sams club and there is not as much candy, no chimney etc. But it was still fun. This morning I woke up and found that the boys had woken up earlier than me and picked away at it. I forgot that I usually put it up high. Seth was the main culprit with icing all over his school shirt and crumbs of icing all over the table and floor. I would like to say I made him clean it up but I didn't and I would like to say I learned my lesson and put it up but I didn't. We all kind of picked at it all day. Oh well.
The city of Murrieta has painted big white stars on different streets all over the city and every year they bring Santa with carolers, rudolph and frosty in a sleigh. We are sitting in our house tonight and all of the sudden hear sirens and loud voices. This means that they are here on our street. We all run out quickly to see santa and take pictures with him. The kids all get candy canes and we get to listen to the carolers and chat with neighbors. It is kind of a neat little city tradition. Here were the pictures we took. Nate was not in the one with Seth and Noah because he ran back to the house for me to get canned food as they were collecting that as well. He's a good kid that Nate!

Seth

Seth was struggling a bit in school about a month ago. I was completely shocked when I received the poor progress report. I was so mad at his teacher because I was sure it was all her, as dumb Moms like me do. After a conference with her and her teaching partner, it all changed. I was able to explain Seth to them and they turned it around along with Seth. He started feeling the love from them and he started reading up a storm. Since then he has read all of the Roald Dahl books, yes ALL of them except for "going solo". He was bored and I said, "don't read it". I liked it but maybe it is a little advanced for him. Now he is reading the Harry Potter books and I am so excited for him! Wow, what a turnaround. We could not interest him in any books besides graphic novels before. Nate and I tried and tried.
He is also excelling in piano. He asked to start taking lessons again. He keeps skipping ahead of his teachers assignments for him. He plays the piano instead of video games or anything else with his free time. It is fabulous.

Halloween

Scott was working late once again on Halloween. It is the last day of the month every single year, go figure. I took the boys trick or treating with some families in the ward after a picnic at the park. It was great fun. Perfect weather! Scott came home at 8 and took them out for another hour! Gotta get all of the candy we can right? I only had 1 trick or treater. I had to donate all of my door candy to Seth's teacher and Scott's work. I am ready to throw away all of the kids candy to get rid of it too. I hate it and love it too!

I think everyone is hogging all of the baby girls. I love my boys. My perfect idea of my most loved babies are boys. I want to hold them and love them and squeeze them. But... will I ever get to take a girl to Ballet class? Make ringlets in her hair? Pick out gobs of pink clothing? I want that.

Deja and Sams wedding in Utah

We were so happy to be able to go to Utah to see Deja and Sam get married. We got to see Garret and Girlie's twins for the first time. They are so cute. We got to see Maggie again. We love her too! I wish I could steal them all. The boys and I got to see the "Hills" some of our bestest friends in the world! We were so grateful to spend so much time with family and see Deja and Sam marry.

Seth is Baptized

Seth is Baptized! We were able to do it on his birthday, July 13, 2008 when more family could be there. Amara and Jeff and family were here, Grandma and Grandpa Earley with Deja and lot's more local friends and family. He was so happy to be baptized. He told me he did feel the spirit and he had felt it before so he knew what it was. We had a birthday party afterwards for him at our house. Yeah for Seth!

Beach Camping Leo Carillo State Park July 2008

We went beach camping in the middle of July at Leo Carillo State Park. We had a blast! We had a fire every night, ate yummy food, played on the beach and had lot's of fun family time. We were able to see dolphins, starfish, hermit crabs, fishies and a baby seal that hopped up on the shore. Scott tried to fish (seaweed stopped him every time!). The boys had hermit crab races. The sun was a little shy the whole week but it was warm enough! Amara and Jeff and kids came for the last 2 nights. It was a great week! The first (maybe second) camping trip I have ever enjoyed as a mom.

I had lots of fun with Mom and Dad and Deja in Miss, Alabama and Nola. Kids stayed with Julianne for a couple of days and then Scott for the last 4. They went to Sea World and fishing. It was amazing to me that while we were on a dolphin cruise, Scott sent a picture message of the boys at Sea World and I sent one back of us (me, mom, Dad and Deja) on the cruise. Technology is amazing! My boys are amazing.
Nate is having a sleep over right now with 2 friends and keeps looking for a way to sneak off and read the 4th Rick Riordan olympians book that just came out. He is obsessed. (Yeah!). I read the first one and it was quite good. After reading the Harry Potter novels with him, racing him if you will, I wanted to read these ones he currently loves. I think boys can be harder to connect with. This is a fun way to accomplish this. Deja and I loved the cemetary in New Orleans!
